Much depends on probable available supplies in America and

Sunada after September. Have you any information on this.

If American authorities allow any licenses for silver

export to China other than those which we support the above

3,000,000 oz should of course be reduced accordingly. It seems

to us that at any ate for the present and assuming that licenses

to China are now bein; restricted it would be clearly better

to wait developments in the hope that events may force america

for her own needs to license moderate export to China

rather than ourselves to suggest a figure which might the.. be

taken off the silver allocated to us.
